Visvesvaraya Postgraduate Centre and is located on the Mysore-Bangalore highway at a distance of about 8 km from Mandya. The postgraduate centre at Hemagangotri, Hassan, is located near Kenchanahalli village on the Mangalore-Bangalore highway at a distance of about 10 km from Hassan. Dr BR Ambedkar Postgraduate Centre of Mysore University is located at Chamarajanagar, the southernmost district headquarters of Karnataka State. With a teacher-student ratio of 1:25, the university offers excellence in its academic courses. The campus of the University of Mysore is spread over an area of 739 acres.
